Many older and some newer Dual Cabs, utilities and similar vehicles are not fitted with anchor points. To legally transport children in these vehicles, the RTA and other State Authorities have authorised fittings of specially designed and Approved Devices. The Device fitted will be appropriate to vehicle type and subframe available to fit the device. 

Dual Cab Anchorage (DCA) and D Buckles are the usual RTA approved devices fitted to meet this need. Fitting of these devices MUST be done by an Approved Fitting Station and appropriate RTA certificate etc must be issued to fulfill legal and insurance requirements. 

Some vehicles are simply unable to have these devices fitted and may need Auto Engineer modification or approval for fittings outside RTA approved guidelines. 

Inspection of vehicles by appointment is necessary to determine which of these devices is appropriate for each vehicle.
